Hodges – Recognizes Ex Officio, Brandon Brooks from Troup Co. Board of Education

Stump & McRae – motion to approve July minutes.

Hodges– Board retreat options open for discussion. Wyatt suggests Great Wolf Lodge conference event center. Carlisle’s assistant will get quote.

CEO Evaluation – Hodges reiterates policy & bylaws

  • IF the board members have any questions concerning the evaluation, Hodges urges them to reach out to Executive Committee.

McRae – Goes over P&L, budget, & designated funds

  • Radcliff questions cash flow details. Carlisle & Stump suggest meeting with CPA to clarify receipt & disbursement summary.
  • Hodges & McRae agree to wait on accepting P&L summary
  • McRae – Mauldin & Jenkins – confirmed quote

CEO update – Dr. Carlisle

  • Update on truck. Hopes to have truck wrapped with sponsor names along with trailer. Radcliff adds to make sure TCSS is on truck as well.
  • Enrollment – 815 THINC students
  • THINC Welcome Back went well with students and employers. Students heard from speakers associated with their career pathways.
  • Donated new carpet installation from interface, estimated at $20,000. Thank you to Robby Burch and Interface.
  • LaGrange Development Authority – McRae recommends a meaningful recognition for their support and donation.

Wyatt – Mando has pledged $100,000.

Data Report – Dr. Williams

  • Overview of Scorecard including percentages on soft skills, attendance, dual enrollment,
    & work based learning.
  • CCPRI – Dr. Williams addresses – THINC serves all base schools & our faculty is
    contributing & participating.
  • Rice also adds Dr. Carlisle’s involvement at the Summit that was recently discussed at DOE meeting. Rice highlights on the importance of industry & business integrated within the school system.
